Mack is a gorgeous 2-3 year old male coonhound presently in a foster home with Citrus County Animal Services. He is humorous, good-natured and easygoing. He loves to be hugged and massaged, and seems to melt into them. He's playful, loves to play with his soft squeaky toy, but gentle and never destructive. He chews only on a chew bone. Mack is completely non-aggressive. He's very affectionate, smart, inquisitive and alert. He often looks like he's thinking. He's undemanding and has a low-maintenance short healthy coat. Mack is timid with people he doesn't know well but once he gets to know you, he's a perfect loving dog, a wonderful ... (Read More)companion, and very bonded. He's ready for bed about 9PM and likes to 'sleep in' in the morning. It's a heart melt-er when he starts his day affectionately tucking his face under your arm and waiting for pets. He's getting used to being in a house, and although he still needs some practice, he learns the limits quickly. He is perfectly housebroken and has never had an accident in the house. He's walking well on a leash, and is very interested in all new smells. He needs the comfort of an inside home where he can be part of the family, but also needs plenty of space to run, or be taken for long walks. He's a good watch dog with a nice strong bark. He only rarely makes the 'hound howl', usually when he wants in from the fenced area. He ignores cats and is neutral with other dogs. Mack is a joy to have around! Ozzie is a beautiful Chestnut/Red black cur mix. He is 2+ years old, and a nice medium size at 50 pounds. He is an active, energetic boy who loves to play when he's learned to trust. He is nervous around strangers and tries to run from them. It will take some time and patience for him to get socialized. He may have been abused.
